South Valley Prep Community Schools focuses on the integration of academics, health and social services, and youth, family and community engagement, and development, as a strategy to improve student learning and facilitate stronger families and healthier communities.

Our Community Schools Equity Council

The Community Schools Council and Equity Council were combined in August 2020. It's called: South Valley Prep Community Schools Equity Council.

SVP Community Schools Equity Council meets every third Thursday of the month from 4-5 pm in the South Valley Prep Conference Room.

The Council comprises school leadership, staff, students, parents, families, and community members. All are welcome.

Expanded Learning Time and Opportunities

Enrichment activities emphasize real-world learning and community problem-solving. After-school and weekend, and summer programs provide academic instruction and individualized support.

Active Family and Community Engagement

Promoting interaction among families, administration, and teachers helps families to be more involved in the decisions about their children’s education. Schools function as neighborhood hubs. There are educational opportunities for adults, and family members can share stories and serve as equal partners in promoting student success.
