What is a Community School?
Our Community Schools Equity Council
The Community Schools Council and Equity Council were combined in August 2020. It's called: South Valley Prep Community Schools Equity Council.
SVP Community Schools Equity Council meets every third Thursday of the month from 4-5 pm in the South Valley Prep Conference Room.
The Council comprises school leadership, staff, students, parents, families, and community members. All are welcome.
Expanded Learning Time and Opportunities
Enrichment activities emphasize real-world learning and community problem-solving. After-school and weekend, and summer programs provide academic instruction and individualized support.

Active Family and Community Engagement
Promoting interaction among families, administration, and teachers helps families to be more involved in the decisions about their children’s education. Schools function as neighborhood hubs.
