Progams

  • 21st Century Afterschool Program

21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) is an out of school time program offered free of charge through a federal grant administered by the New Mexico Public Education Department. The program offers academic, leadership, and enrichment opportunities for students and families. Program is offered Monday through Friday, both mornings and evenings. All 21st CCLC students must participate on a regular basis. If program is offered both morning and afternoon, students are not required to attend both sessions.

  • Community Schools

South Valley Preparatory Community School serves as both an educational institution and a center of community life. SVP develops community partnerships that bring resources to our students, families and the community in which we live and serve. These resources and partnerships, learning opportunities and resources fall within the Four Pillars including Expanded and Enriched Learning Time and Opportunities, Collaborative Leadership and Practices, Active Family and Community Engagement and Integrated Student Supports.

  • Farm Service Learning

Our school partners with local community farms to embed programming and nutrition that supports the health and wellness of our students. This collaboration provides our students the opportunity to cultivate the earth, plant and harvest fresh fruits and vegetables.

  • Outdoor Experiential Program

Since 2012, South Valley Preparatory School has worked in collaboration with the Cottonwood Gulch Foundation (CWG) for our students to participate in a variety of outdoor classroom expeditions. Each year, through middle school, our students’ outdoor experiential opportunities increase. Each year, these opportunities connect learning from the classroom to hands-on experiences in the wilderness.

  • Sports & Athletics

South Valley Prep maintains a positive and successful sports program available to all students who are interested in participating. SVP staff and coaches work diligently to ensure that our school can provide sports opportunities for your child. A high level of sportsmanship is both expected and required by not just our SVP players but most importantly by our SVP parents, families, and fans. All sports are played through the Albuquerque Charter School League.
